Linda Butros MD is a community Pediatric Hematologist/Oncologist. She has practiced
Pediatric Hematology and Oncology for eleven years in New Mexico. She was founder and
director of the University of New Mexico's childhood cancer survivor program which served
over 600 childhood cancer survivors from New Mexico and surrounding states. She has
given multiple talks and published several abstracts and manuscripts.
1995 - Dr. Butros graduated from Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit, MI
1998 - Completed a pediatric residency at The New York Hospital-Cornell Medical Center
2001 - Completed her fellowship in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York, NY
2002 - Completed Special Fellowship at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center
2002-2004 - Pediatric Hematologist/Oncologist at Columbia University in New York, NY specializing in neuro-oncology and complicated blood disorders
2004-2015 - Pediatric Hematologist/Oncologist at University of New Mexico, Department of Pediatrics, Albuquerque, NM
2016 - Founder of a novel outpatient community pediatric hematology/oncology program in Albuquerque, NM
Dr. Butros is involved in community fundraising for various childhood cancer support programs. She helped found and serves on the board for the Kids Supporting Kids fund which helps to provide children with cancer and blood disorders integrative services such as massage therapy, acupuncture, and nutritional counseling. Dr. Butros currently serves on the board for Camp Enchantment, a camp experience for children diagnosed with cancer. She also volunteers as a camp physician at Camp Enchantment.
